NH Seguros founded New Horizon Insurance Company in 2016, a domestic insurance company domiciled in the state of Texas.
During the following years, New Horizon became licensed as an admitted carrier in the states of California, Arizona, and New Mexico, thus covering all the southern U.S. states bordering Mexico.
In 2018, NH Seguros acquired CAIC Seguros,a well-established cross-border brand and a book of business founded in 1998, and as a result, NH Seguros, consolidatied itself as the leading company in the cross-border insurance market between Mexico and the U.S., insuring more than 6,000 Mexican carriers, which represents over 50% of the commercial vehicles crossing between both countries.
Following the acquisition, NH Seguros CAIC continued to strengthen its position as the company with the greatest brand presence in the sector and established its leadership position, always enhanced by the most advanced technology in the industry.
In 2025, NH Seguros signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Quálitas and became its commercial partner to address the U.S. coverage needs of all its insured carriers with cross-border operations.
NH Seguros has constantly evolved, offering various innovative solutions to meet its clients’ cross-border insurance needs. Today, NH Seguros is the company with the strongest financial standing in the sector and offers its products through the widest agent network in Mexico.
